About Our Crust: Each day we handcraft our dough using locally milled flour, filtered water, sea salt and fresh yeast. Stella Barra is an artisanal pizzeria with an eclectic menu inspired by the idea of simple honest cooking. Chef Jeff Mahin has developed a network of farms and purveyors to supply the restaurant with fresh-milled, 100% California flour for his handcrafted dough, as well as sustainably farmed organic produce, meats and cheeses. Pizza toppings range from prosciutto to shaved truffle to smoked bacon and can even be made with gluten-free dough. From the signature pizzas to the seasonal specials, each dish reflects Chef Mahin’s passion for sourcing the best quality, local ingredients and presenting them simply. The Market counter, shared with Summer House, serves a selection of fresh-baked pastries, sourdough English muffins and Chef Jeff Mahin’s famous cookies, along with locally sourced coffee and specialty espresso drinks.
